DBKL and TNB, Effectiveness and Efficiency

Efficiency == measure the time or effort to archive the same goal
Effectiveness == capability to produce the result

The government always stress about Efficiency and Effectiveness, KPI. I believe most organization will also apply the similar management KPI.

Imagine this:
There is a lot of big lorry and heavy transport passing by neighborhood and cause small and big hole on the black tar road. These holes haven't cause any safety issue or hazard however it still never nice to see and drive. One day government decided to patch the road and slowly phase by phase deploy the patch. Good news for the neighborhood. The patch job took about 1 month to finish and we are enjoying the newly patch and repair road. Comfort :D. Now here come the bad news, a weeks later, TNB decide to perform upgrade the power line at the neighborhood and starting to dig out the old power line. Guess what, they are digging at the newly patched and repaired road #$%^&*(.

We all appreciate the government and other utilities company services. TNB and DBKL is doing a great job giving us a better live. However, I do believe a little coordination to improve the Effectiveness and Efficiency won't hurt and it should not cost an arm or a leg :( ...repair the road and then start digging the road again, who on earth will approve such stupid activities. To the person in charge, you are wasting people tax money. It is not funny to repair and dig the road again and again. I am paying taxes with our hard earn money and I am very sad seeing my money not being utilize wisely by person in charge ..... sad,very sad

Sabuti, A Burmese Traditional Food

I came across this stall at the restaurant opposite Pudu Plaza. A typical Chinese restourant selling typical Malaysian food, watan mee, porridge, pan mee, and etc. Then something caught me, some Burmese selling something call Sabuti. From far it look like porridge. When I get a closer look at it, it is soup, like the Indian ox tail or chicken soup. My curiosity tell me to try it. I sit down and order 1 portion. They serve with salt and MSG. An extra RM 1 you will get the fried beef with chili and onion, I warm you...is super hot..at least for my standard. After my first sip and I know why they serve the salt and MSG. The soup is plain, pretty plain in taste. One might enjoy it but not me. I prefer my soup to be a bit "spice". I added the salt and MSG and the soup taste better. Please note this is not a healthy way of eating soup. Don't try it too often :D The ingredient inside the soup, beef and corn. Alex, Marty,Melman, Gloria is setting up to their next adventure and this time the party landed on Europe. They meet new friends at the circus and enemy, the Paris animal control, and has been travel across France, Rome, London and and return back to the big apple, New York City, Central Park Zoo. Again, the movie bring us a lot of laughter and joy. Marty will always so some silly thing, Alex will always save the day will some silly move, and Gloria and Melman will always silly and in love.
