Freak Car Accident

I guess when bad luck hit, it really does hit you hard. I was involved in a freak accident yesterday 20/4/2007, Jalan Kuching. I was hit by a speeding car than is not manage to stop. Some serious cut on the hand and leg and total of 14 stitches. The story goes like this, I was going home as usual on busy Friday night taking Jalan Kuching Route. It was raining and the road is wet and slippery. I drive at normal 80 km/j, the road was clear and the traffic is consider smooth. All the sudden a car in front trying to come out to fast lane and I step on the car brakes hard. The car did stop and I was relief for a second then something goes wrong. The car begin to slip to the right and hit the divider, hard. The car stop. I turn on the emergency signal light and go out from my car and check the car damage. As predicted, the front light and bumper is lost. The front bumper stuck under the car so I plan to take it out and at the point of time there is this very nice foreman come to scenes and...

You can never be too careful

I was driving to work as usual on the busy highway, cars and traffic jam. I am always be very carefull not to get to close to a car. I pratice the same distance during driving. Till now, I never bump a car. Some how, it doesn't mater how carefull you are, there are always careless people around you. This morning, my car was being hit by a proton gen 2. There are holes and scracthes at the bumper and the car plat gone mising during the accident. Its a malay driver, friendly yet careless. I must say, today indeed a new experience for me and hopefully the last. Yo can never be too careful, when its coming its will come. indeed

Criteria of a Good Programmer

I once went for a interview at a foreign bank for the post of programmer. That was the most unpleasant interview experience I have had yet. The interviewer keep asking me for the definition of technical term or technology, that somehow I fail to answer. Example question: 1) What is Data warehousing? 2) Different between Java Generics and C# Generics. 3) What is AJAX? Although these are familiar term to me but I failed to answer or rather I failed to give a good description. After the interview session I start to have this question playing in my mind: "What is a good programmer?". Does a good programmer able to explain or describe the in-depth of certain technology. If so, the lecturer at school would able to do so since lecturer is good at explaining. Does a good programmer able to convert business logic/rule to machine understandable coding? If so, the end user would able to do so since end user does involve in the business. Again, what is a good programmer? I am confused.
