Apple new Mac Mini

Just when I thought I finish reading all Apple new launch yesterday, it seem that I missed out the Mac mini. Yes, Mac mini also being upgrade with new hardware and spec. Latest Intel processor, Thunderbolt, and the most interesting, a discrete graphic card!? and no super drive!?

Mac mini was marketed as a bridge for PC/Microsoft window user to cross over to Apple Mac and it did a beautiful job. The first gen Mac mini bring a new definition for small form factor PC. People are being creative on utilize Mac mini at different place and occasion. Put a Mac mini in a car and you can do magic with it. Put a Mac mini in the living room and you can enjoy movie streaming on your large TV and comfort sofa set :D.




Second gen Mac mini introduce a Mac mini server edition which intend to be a mini server for file and content. The Mac mini server came out just right, when hard disk price are cheap and internet content starting to boom. The Mac mini server is a pretty good starter for a home file server to store downloaded movie and MP3. Of course, the sky is not the limit, you may use the Mac mini for something interesting as well. I recall I read some article people are promoting Mac mini for web server hosting, thanks to Mac mini small form factor and power efficiency.

Now, yesterday came the new gen of Mac mini with Mac OS X Lion and a decent graphic card, Intel HD 3000 or AMD Radeon 6630M. Is unusual to have a discrete graphics card inside mini PC which is not targeted for serious gaming. However you may notice there are a lot of computer game title release for Mac OS as well. The Mac game is getting some attention and market share. You may not able to enjoy the full 3D effect game with this Mac mini but you definitely could have some fun time playing computer game with your Mac mini with medium 3D effect. 


Last but not least, it seem that Apple is making a trend to remove optical drive from their product. That could mean only one logical reason, cloud computing. Apple is getting serious pushing the cloud computing. People will always see cloud computing are good for media like movie and MP3 but I believe the future of cloud computing will replace the traditional software and application distribution, DVD and CD. If all my application and software are available to be purchase and download online, I don not need a DVD or CD media to store and distribute  . All the apps, movie and MP3 will be available on Mac Store. With a single click, I can buy and download to my Mac mini. Now do I need a optical drive for my Mac mini? 


Looking at all the product launch from yesterday, people will notice the only product line has not been refresh would be the MacBook Pro and Mac Pro. These 2 product is target for serious Mac user for some serious work and business. I am looking forward on what Apple will bring for Macbook Pro and Mac Por. Until then, let enjoy the Macbook Air and Mac mini :D

Sabuti, A Burmese Traditional Food

I came across this stall at the restaurant opposite Pudu Plaza. A typical Chinese restourant selling typical Malaysian food, watan mee, porridge, pan mee, and etc. Then something caught me, some Burmese selling something call Sabuti. From far it look like porridge. When I get a closer look at it, it is soup, like the Indian ox tail or chicken soup. My curiosity tell me to try it. I sit down and order 1 portion. They serve with salt and MSG. An extra RM 1 you will get the fried beef with chili and onion, I warm you...is super hot..at least for my standard. After my first sip and I know why they serve the salt and MSG. The soup is plain, pretty plain in taste. One might enjoy it but not me. I prefer my soup to be a bit "spice". Movie - Madagascar 3:Europe's Most Wanted

Alex, Marty,Melman, Gloria is setting up to their next adventure and this time the party landed on Europe. They meet new friends at the circus and enemy, the Paris animal control, and has been travel across France, Rome, London and and return back to the big apple, New York City, Central Park Zoo. Again, the movie bring us a lot of laughter and joy. Marty will always so some silly thing, Alex will always save the day will some silly move, and Gloria and Melman will always silly and in love. I love this movie because beside the fun and joy the movie bring, the movie will always carry a positive message of true friendship and family value. I think I like this sequel the most and really touch by the scene when the they return to Central Park Zoo, a place where they called home and realizing they don't fell they are at "home".
